The Advent Season is my favorite time of the year. And, as providence would have it, my new book debuted the week before Advent bringing with it the “joy” of sharing my book with people during this blessed time of year!

My most recent book signing at the Queen of Angels Catholic Store in Jacksonville, Florida, was one of the BEST! Not because of book sales, but because of the people who graced my life by stopping by to talk about the book and share their personal animal stories and miracles. What a GIFT!

There was Hank who wanted the book for Father Steve an animal lover; Karen who had six family members that all had numerous pets with just as many glorious stories of love; Andrea who came to buy a different book but ended up buying Animals in Heaven? something she distinctly felt was by divine providence; Jerry, Carolyn, Rick Yvette, Barb and Jane, all were animal lovers and had such beautiful stories of love and peace with their beloved pets; and of course Nina, a friend from years ago, who came because she read about the event in the newspaper and wanted to see if it was her old friend….what a blessing!

As an author it is always a treat when another author stops in to say hello. A man whom I did not know, but very quickly became fast friends with, Gerard (Jerry) D. Webster, a former Peace Corps volunteer, soldier, businessman counselor, and author of the new fiction book Insight.

There was also the delightful mother of three who thought that it would be a wonderful experience for her 11 year old triplets, Madeleine Nicholas and Patrick and their friend Julianna, to come and visit with an author and ask questions. What a beautiful family and what a great time we had! Such a gift of sharing!

All of these encounters were GIFTS! It was like Jesus had wrapped a Christmas present up for me in people!

So, I am very thankful and most of all humbled in the sharing of a work that I feel was a mission given me by Jesus. The joy of sharing the love of our Creator King is truly the biggest GIFT given all humankind.
