October 12, 2009: Here I Am!
Here I AM!
“I AM” is the English equivelant to “YAHWEH” which is the word for Our God given to Moses inthe burning bush. Here I am in New Hampshire among the October Fall Leaves that literally look like they are on fire with color. I just returned from a reading of my book in Wisconsin. The trees are on fire there also.
Christian Peschken is filming a television series based on me reading some of the book I wrote, Tear in the Desert . It was amazing to be filmed, but very exhausting. Most interesting is that my sinuses enflamed and caused congestion. Here I am, feeling like some of the trees that are changing color and loosing the battle of holding onto their leaves. As I turned 50 this week, my body in some ways is like the glorious trees. We delight in the tree’s aging process. We are all
part of God’s glorious creation. There are moments when we might feel like we are getting older and achier, but others might see the glorious colors of fire in our souls.
Think about it, we are aging. Yet, we are also growing into glorious Creations of God’s passionate desire and delight. Let us all be Stewards of God’s Creation by being stewards of our aging and colorful autumn fire!
Love, joy, peace,
Father Ron +
