Beloved,

Our Mission Honduras is completed. I have journeyed to Haiti on many occasions. I have pictures of some of these poor people in my prayer books I use every day. The Poor remind me of the beauty of God’s creation even in the most poverty stricken, hungry, oppressive and seemingly hopeless places. The last two years I have had the honor of journeying with 24 pilgrims to Honduras on a Medical Mission. Although the people of Honduras are not as poor as the people of Haiti, there is something profound, something very deep about any encounter with the poor. This year I finally got a camera after a long lapse. Each picture is worth more than a million words, but I don’t have the words nor the energy to verbalize.

I invite you to prayerfully meditate on the eyes and heart of the poor.
