The Heavens and the Start of Lent


This week, the heavens are blessed with an “evening star” which is Jupiter, appearing low on the western horizon below the moon, and the “morning star” which is Venus, appearing on the eastern horizon just before sunrise, both such fitting heralds to the beginning of Christianity’s most holy season. Did you know that the full moon in March is called the “Lenten moon?”
