Those incredible Northern Lights known as the Aurora Borealis have awed us since the beginning of recorded history. The most frequently asked question, per Michigan Tech, is: “Where and when can I see the aurora?”

The sun has been in a solar minimum since 2007. But, we are moving into a period of solar maximum over the next few years which should make for some spectacular lights.
