December 5, 2011: Mary’s Song

~ by Mary Galvano

“My being proclaims the greatness of the Lord, my spirit finds joy in God my Savior.”
(Luke 1:45-55)

The Blessed Virgin Mary, proclaiming the goodness of God and the miracle He bestowed on her, spoke these magnificent and profound words. She is truly blessed among women.

As we approach December 8th, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, let us give honor to the mother of all mothers. She herself was conceived without sin, and is a role model for all of us. She is living proof that nothing is impossible for God!

Mary’s greatest mission is to bring all souls to her son, Jesus. Ask her to pray for you and to help you through your most difficult times, she will not let you down. Say the words, “O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee”, which encircles her image on the medal of the Immaculate Conception. This prayer is indeed miraculous.
