November 20, 2013: Mary, Most Holy

~ by Sr. Marie Rene, S.S.J.

There is no better way to begin a day with a prayer to our Mother Mary, who is the Queen of Heaven and Earth and fills our hearts with peace, love, and joy. This week on November 21at, we celebrate the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Mary’s presentation was celebrated in Jerusalem in the sixth century. It emphasizes that the holiness conferred on Mary from the beginning of her life on earth continued through her early childhood and beyond.

I would like to ask you to recite this prayer in her honor this week. I will be praying it with you.

O Mary, Our Mother, transform my heart into yours. Place around it a wreath of purity, adorned in virtue. Take my heart dear Motherand  consecrate it as your own. Present it to God Our Father as an offering from me to you. Help me O Mary, in each day to make your heart more known. Amen.

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph,
