Prayers for training an aggressive dog

March 26th, 2015

From Patty P:

Please pray that our aggressive dog can be retrained into a model service dog. thank you so much and thank you for this site. for all the petitions on this site.

Please pray for healing of temperament of dog with serious aggression. we got him to be a kind of therapy dog for mother with alzheimers and kids torn in child custody issues but he is very very protective of objects and food. Not like any other dog we have ever had that were so cuddly. He is only allowed in one training class that I can find because they accept aggressive dogs. everywhere else he is not permitted to attend because they don’t take dogs with aggressive behavior. Please pray that we can master this skill and break through any communications misunderstandings between we humans in the family and the dog and other pets in our home.  That we may successfully housetrain ALL of our pets, even the reluctant ones, thank you

Also for all other prayer requests on this site. thanks you for this opportunity.

God bless you all.

Prayers for 2 lost cats

March 9th, 2015

From Linda K:

Hi, Thanks for your website. I am so devastated and so is my 88 year old mother. Our 10 year old cat, Kitty, a stray we adopted, has been missing since 1 pm yesterday as well as his buddy, who we also call Kitty, an abandoned cat, a beautiful Maine coon, who has been living on our front porch for the last couple of years – in complete luxury, padded rocking chair, outdoor covered house and always food and water. He’s very skittish and an outdoor cat, and he only lets me pet and groom him. These cats take care of each other – when the Maine coon was hurt this fall, Kitty came home and led us to him in the bushes. So its so puzzling that they have vanished together. They always show up for meals and also its been cold here in Atlanta, so Kitty would otherwise be home to sleep inside (often with me). I’ve checked three county animal shelters,an email has been sent out to the entire subdivision and I’ve searched their usual haunts, various bushes around the neighborhood and nearby woods. They don’t roam much further. No one has seen them. And they would never go into anyone’s garage or crawl space – the Maine Coon particularly is very cautious and also a big cat – it would be hard for anyone to catch him and cage him. Kitty is a love bug and someone could pick him up and carry him off, but yesterday, it was rainy and foggy in the neighborhood – we live in a gated community – and security at the gate told me Animal control wasn’t in, and there weren’t yard workers of any type, just some deliveries. Our neighborhood all know the cats, so I can’t imagine anyone would take them or harm them. Our only concern is that there have been coyotes in the woods around here and our fear is maybe the cats were attacked. But we haven’t seen any black crows or buzzards in any surrounded wooded areas, which would be sign of a carcass. Anyway, thank you for your prayers. My rosary group at church also prayed for the cats protection and safety today. I have frequently prayed over them, offering them to God, Lord Jesus, Mother Mary and St Francis, as examples of the perfection of creation, and my gratitude for stewardship of them, such loving cats. I pray for mom and I to overcome the heartbreak of losing them. They would be home by now, believe me, so they’ve either been stolen or dead.

Trooper improves, still needs prayers

February 21st, 2015

From Mary J:

Dear Prayer Warriors, You have been praying for my cat, Trooper, who has mast cell cancer. Trooper is now on his 5th chemo, which seems to be working as the skin masses have regressed or disappeared. However, in the meantime, bloodwork shows that his intestinal tract has some inflammation and malabsorption. There are many reasons for this, some minor and easily controlled, others much more insidious. Please continue praying with me for Trooper’s good health and well-being, and that this newest situation is something that can be easily remedied or managed. Our Good Lord granted Trooper a miracle in 2012 when he had spinal issues, pulling him back from the brink – now I’m asking for Trooper to be able to beat this cancer and any other issues. Thank you and God bless you for all you do, and know that I pray for all the animals posted herein.

For Shelley’s safety

February 7th, 2015

From Nathalie H:

Please say a prayer for my beloved Shelly. She is an old kitty who has not showed up to eat today from playing outside. It’s been very cold and raining here and I’m very concerned about her because she never strays. Please let her be in the hands of God always and safe until she either comes home or she sitting in His lap. I pray that it’s God’s will that she comes home safe and is not afraid where she is but of course God’s will is always perfect and I submit her to Him. Please show my heart mercy and give me comfort as well. Thank you for joining me in this prayer. Through the power of our gracious and merciful Lord Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.

Minnie returns to the Master

February 7th, 2015

From Carmen A:

My Minnie left me just over three weeks ago. I miss my baby girl terribly, and I cry bitterly for her. Because of the teachings of my Catholic faith about animals and souls, this loss is more difficult on me that that of even my parents. How could such pure innocence and such pure love be anything other than a gift from my God? Sometimes I wonder if Jesus did not address animal salvation because there simply was nor need to. They are sinless. We, the sinners, are the ones He came to save from our own sins. When I think of animals and heaven, mammals and birds stand out. They are warm blooded as we are. Mammals give birth to their young and nurse them as we do. Birds protect their eggs, keep them warm, and feed their young. Mammals and birds protect their young as we do. Like us, mammal and bird parents suffer terribly if their young are threatened. Mammals and birds are capable of love as we are. They love one another, and they love us if given the opportunity. Where does all love come from if not from God? Animals serve as another channel for God’s eternal love. None of the examples given apply to cold blooded animals. I do not know where the obligation originated, but I find it interesting that we are not to eat meat on Fridays during Lent. We are permitted to eat cold blooded animals but not God’s warm blooded creatures through which love flows. Jesus Christ was a shepherd with warm blooded sheep. He chose the lamb to symbolize Himself. The Holy Spirit appeared as a dove. For all these reasons, I struggle with what my Catholic faith teaches about animals especially when suffering the loss of my baby girl so pure, so innocent, and so unconditionally loving. It seems that she exemplified what Jesus taught us earns a place in heaven. Carmen

Praying for a miracle for Paulie

January 30th, 2015

From Antonella B:

My prayer request is for our sweet boy Paulie, we just found out today that he could become paralyzed due to spine deterioration. We are devastated. Paulie has been there for us through many family difficulties and to have to make that decision to end his life is unthinkable, but we can not bare to have him suffer. He will be on cortisone for 10 days and hopefully this will help with the inflammation and restore the mobility in his rear legs. For the last 2 days he has had his back legs give out on him, heartbreaking to watch this majestic boy just go down. I do believe in miracles. Please, I ask for your prayers for our Paulie.

For Lucy’s return

January 22nd, 2015

From Lei R:

Lucy, our 3 yr old basset hound wandered too far from home to find her way back and is lost. She was spotted 5 days ago 7 miles from home and has not been seen since. She is VERY timid and will run if approached. She has a collar with our phone number, but I do not believe she will let anyone she doesn’t know catch her. Praying to St. Francis and St. Huber of Liege that she finds someone to trust so they can call us and we can bring her home safe and sound. In the meantime, please watch over her and keep her safe. Please pray for Lucy to be safe and home soon!! She is lost and wandering near Waterloo, IL. Has not been spotted for 5 days. She has been gone a week today…. She is so timid and shy that she will not let anyone unfamiliar approach her.

Troopers health review

January 15th, 2015

From MJ:

Dear Susi and Team,

Please pray with me again for Trooper, my cat who has mast cell cancer. He sees his oncologist tomorrow for a follow-up and blood work. Trooper is a special cat who has had his share of adversities with diabetes, a ruptured disk, and a splenectomy when he was diagnosed with mast cell. Yet, through it all, he has lived up to his name and is a real trooper! Please ask Our Good Lord to have mercy on Trooper and if it is HIS will, to allow Trooper to live a long, happy, cancer-free life. Many thanks for all you do on behalf of sick animals.

Bud’s safety and return

January 12th, 2015

From Judy R:

I ask that you please pray for the safe return of my dog, Bud. I love him very much. I had to leave my sanctuary farm yesterday to get horse feed. My Rottweiler, who is an inside dog was left outside. It was a nice day with rare sunshine, and the rest of the week is to be very cold. I have left him outside before I when I leave for the past four years and he ha always been here to greet me. Missing with him is a foster dog, a young Lab. My two Border Collies are still at the remote farm. I live in an area where you can only see the nearest neighbor in the winter time. I am on a hill and well away from roads and the nearest road is well away and scarcely traveled. Bud has never gone from the farm and when I call him he is there immediately. I have asked St. a Anthony and St. Pia to intercede on his behalf. I need this wonderful dog in my life, he is a big part of it. I am a widow, and a senior and I care for my animals like children. I have no children, I married late in life. I always have dedicated myself to helping others and helping animals. I am a very strong believer in the Love of Jesus and The Power of Prayer. Please pray for my beloved dog to come home safely. Thank you.

That Shaquille be brought home

January 6th, 2015

From Jen L:

Please pray for our pet dog, Shaquille who has been missing since last night. He got terrified due to loud sounds of the fireworks display. He escaped from the gate of our house which was accidentally left open. We sincerely hope and pray that he is safe and healthy, and that he may immediately find his way back home. We miss him terribly.

Attached are his pictures.  Thank you for all your prayers. God bless you all! Have a wonderful New Year!

For Cat Rowl

January 6th, 2015

From Kathleen H:

Please pray for our Cat Rowl. He is missing since December 1st. He was such a good boy he always came in when we called him until that day. I miss him curling up on my lap every evening and the love & comfort he brought to me each day when I returned from work. Please help me pray that he is not suffering or scared and that he is returned or returns on his own to us safe and is in my arms again. Thank you for your support and comfort.

Karson’s finding and reunion

December 30th, 2014

From Abby H:

I would be so grateful if everyone could say a prayer for a lost friend and Police K9, Karson. He was being boarded while his handler was out of town and escaped December 23rd. He is still out loose and the temperatures are getting colder. Please pray for his safe return to his home.

For Zara’s health

December 30th, 2014

From Chris V:

My daughter Stephanie, a 26 year old young woman and practicing Catholic, has 2 cats that are her companions given that the Lord has not sent her spouse to her as yet. One of her cats, Zara, has a very serious heart condition and requires a series of medications to be administered to her at morning and night time to, literally, keep her alive. Zara is beloved by Stephanie and by all of us. If it be our Lord’s good will, and if it be within His plan, we ask that Zara be relieved of her ailment at least to the extent that Stephanie can have her for a time until Our Lord does send her a spouse. May God bless us all.
